  • #3

    Festive Minimal Close-Up

    Close-up
    Direction
Tight portrait using one subtle seasonal prop (a pinecone, single ornament, or small bouquet) to nod to holidays without appearing themed; soft lighting enhances facial features.

Fall: Cozy Layers & Foliage

Afternoon5 shots
  • #1

    Walking Through Leaves

Full-body or 3/4 shot of you walking on a leaf-strewn path, captured from slightly below eye level to emphasize depth and the falling leaves for a dynamic, romantic feel.

Winter: Snow & Warm Lighting

Afternoon5 shots
  • #1

Full-body candid of you throwing snow, making a snow angel, or laughing; open, energetic poses show approachability and a playful side while communicating you embrace the season.

    Medium
    Direction
Outdoor portrait showing layered winter gear — coat, beanie, scarf — in a candid pose like zipping a jacket or adjusting gloves to feel authentic and ruggedly warm.

Keep chin low and eyes engaged for an inviting, intimate feel.

Before you shoot

Run through these the night before so the shoot itself stays fast.

  • Plan seasonal rotations. Schedule a quick photo update for each season so your profile always matches the current time of year; aim for at least one new primary photo every three months.
  • Scout peak color times. Check local bloom schedules, foliage trackers, and sunrise/sunset times to pick the week when flowers or leaves peak and the light is best for that season.
  • Pack season-specific props and layers. Bring a small kit of props (scarf, hat, blanket, reusable mug) and extra layers so you can adapt outfits quickly if the weather changes during an outdoor shoot.
  • Have indoor backups for bad weather. Identify one indoor location with good window light or warm lamps near your outdoor shoot so you can still capture seasonal-feeling images when weather turns.
  • Test camera settings and phone portrait mode. Before your shoot, take a few test shots in each outfit and lighting condition to confirm exposure and focal distance; adjust white balance to keep seasonal tones accurate.
